What is Cooperstown?
When I played baseball, Cooperstown was a dream.
It begins the first time you pick up a baseball glove and feel the pop of your first caught baseball. Everytime the ball leaves your bat, you dream of it going over the wall. You gloriously have a moment in the sun as your friends are waiting to high five and dog pile you at home plate. Cooperstown is the fruition of that dream. This is a chance to fulfill that once in a lifetime childhood dream that brings tears of joy to all the youth involved and their parents alike. And after the weeklong tournament comes to a conclusion, all the children who participated will be officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Their names will be engraved in the wonder of baseball for eternity. How much better than that does it get?
We are so proud of all of the kids who will be participating and all of the volunteers who generously donate countless hours of their free time to help develop these young athletes in mind, body, and spirit. Photos of teams and events to come.
GO HAWKS!
Regards…Dr. Zeljko
